Do you have the guts to try something new? Are you to scared to take that first step? I have to agree it does mean you are going to have to face the fear of the unknown. But all it takes is that first step. Don't over think it! Once you start thinking too much you will talk yourself out of it! Make a plan!! Go for it!
What comes from trying something new....absolutely the fear of failure. I have been married twice. I used to beat myself up over it! I was also extremely scared of making a bad decision again. Every person I would meet I would throw to the curb!! I was going to protect myself!
Last year at my sons graduation from Marine boot camp, I met a handsome drill instructor that was standing right in front of me. Let me state this first...it wasn't my son's drill instructor. haha!! We got along really well! I had so much fun talking to him! We talked all the time. About a month after I met him...I took a risk....he came out to see me in Texas for 5 days! What an amazing 5 days we had! With him in California and me in Texas and his crazy work schedule we wondered how we could keep it going! Well, I decided to follow my gut and move my 11 year old son and me to California. My family thought I was nuts! My mom of course reminded my of my past mistakes! But my girlfriends were all supportive. They knew I was doing what was right for me! Was I taking a chance...YEP!! But what was the worst thing that could happen...I move back to Texas! So I did it!
I am so glad I did! Huge risks bring huge rewards! I met a man that loves and supports me! I met a man I trust with my heart!!
Whether it is changing what you do for a living...moving...or finding a new relationship...FOLLOW YOUR GUT!! If your gut says YES...GO FOR IT!! Take a risk! Make a change! Be brave!! What is the worst thing that happens....its ok to fail...you will learn from the good and the bad!!
NO GUTS! NO GLORY!!
